Dr. Tan completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Texas at Austin and attended the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry at Houston, where she received her degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). A top graduate of her class, Dr. Tan has a passion for oral health and saving teeth and implants, which led her to pursue dental specialty training. She stayed at her alma mater for a three-year residency program in Periodontics and Implantology, where she received a Certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry degree (MS).
Dr. Tan is Board-Certified, holding the prestigious title of Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a recognized specialty of the American Dental Association.
Dr. Tan is an active member of the Greater Houston Dental Society (GHDS), Texas Dental Association (TDA), Houston Asian American Dental Society (HAADS), Southwest Society of Periodontists (SWSP), American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), and American Dental Association (ADA). She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology (ABP).
In her free time, Dr. Tan enjoys traveling on new adventures with her husband, two daughters, and two dogs. Her favorite vacation spot is Denver, favorite food is eggplant parmesan, and favorite sports teams are the Houston Astros and Texas Longhorns. Hook ‘em for life!
